Description: The 3-4 is a defensive set. This set places 3 defensive linemen on the line of scrimmage and features 4 linebackers. The 3-4 is a good all around defense. It is important to note that the 4th linebacker position is not always a linebacker. Often one of the defensive linemen or backs will play the position.
